Who operates Billy Atlas

Billy Atlas is a platform owned and operated by Rugged Lane Industries® (ABN 46 680 178 054). In these terms, 'Billy Atlas', 'we', 'us' and 'our' refer to Rugged Lane Industries® as the operator of the Billy Atlas platform, unless the context requires otherwise.

These Creator Terms apply if you hold a creator account on https://billyatlas.com. They sit alongside our Terms of Use, our Acceptable Use Policy and, if you're on Creator+, our Subscription Terms. Where these Creator Terms deal with something specific to creators, they take priority on that point.

01

1. Your Partnership Profile

Your Partnership Profile is your public presence on Billy Atlas — how brands find and assess you. You're responsible for making sure it's accurate: your niche, your audience, your rates, your availability, your past work, and anything else you tell us.

Data on your profile is labelled by source — creator-supplied, platform-connected, calculated by Billy Atlas, or verified by Billy Atlas — so brands know where each figure comes from. Don't add information intended to mislead a brand about who you are or what you can deliver.

02

2. Honest metrics

Don't buy followers, likes, comments or engagement, and don't use bots, engagement pods or any other artificial method to inflate your numbers. Brands rely on your profile to make real decisions about real money. Inflated metrics undermine that, and undermine every other creator on the Platform.

If we find evidence of purchased or artificially inflated engagement, we can remove the affected content or metrics, restrict your profile's visibility, suspend your account, or terminate it — depending on the severity and whether it's a repeat issue.

03

3. Connecting your Instagram account

You can optionally connect an Instagram account using Meta's official authorisation flow. If you do, we import certain metrics — such as follower counts and engagement figures made available through that authorisation — and display them on your profile labelled as platform-connected.

You control which connected metrics are visible on your public profile. You can disconnect your account at any time, which stops future imports; previously displayed figures are removed or refreshed depending on your settings.

Connecting your account also means you're bound by Meta's own platform terms for that authorisation. We don't control those terms and aren't responsible for changes Meta makes to its API, its policies, or the data it makes available to us.

04

4. Your media kit

You can build a media kit — a curated presentation of your work, audience and rates. By publishing it, you grant us the same limited licence described in the Terms of Use: to host and display it to brands and, where you've made your profile public, to the public.

You're responsible for the accuracy of everything in it, and for having the rights to any images, videos or brand names you include.

05

5. Your public profile URL

Published Partnership Profiles get a public URL on https://billyatlas.com. Public pages can be indexed by search engines, meaning they may appear in search results. If you unpublish your profile, it stops being publicly accessible, though search engines may take time to remove cached copies — that's outside our control.

06

6. Rates and availability

Rates and availability you list on your profile are indicative only. They're a starting point for a conversation, not a binding offer to any brand that views them. You're free to negotiate a different price or turn down any approach.

07

7. Disclosing commercial relationships

If you post sponsored or paid content that comes from a partnership formed through Billy Atlas, you must disclose it clearly — for example, using #ad or "paid partnership" labelling — in line with the AANA Code of Ethics and ACCC guidance on influencer disclosure.

This obligation is yours. It sits with you as the person publishing the content, not with Billy Atlas. We're a discovery platform — we don't review or approve the content you post on other platforms.

08

8. Exclusivity and conflicts

If your profile lets you declare exclusivity arrangements or category conflicts (for example, an existing exclusive deal with a competing brand), that declaration is for the guidance of brands browsing the Platform. It's not a warranty we make on your behalf, and it doesn't replace the due diligence a brand should do, or the terms a brand and creator agree directly.

09

9. You contract directly with brands

Any agreement you reach with a brand — rates, deliverables, timing, usage rights — is between you and that brand. We're not a party to it, we don't draft it, and we don't enforce it.

You're responsible for your own tax position, including any ABN, GST registration, income tax and superannuation obligations that apply to income you earn from partnerships. We don't advise on this — speak to an accountant or the ATO if you're unsure. You're also responsible for your own insurance arrangements, if any are appropriate for the work you do.

10

10. No employment, agency or partnership with us

Billy Atlas doesn't employ you. Using the Platform doesn't create an employment relationship, an agency relationship, a partnership or a joint venture between you and us. We introduce; we don't manage, direct or supervise your work for brands.

11

11. You can decline any approach

You're free to decline an invitation, an opportunity, or any brand's message, for any reason or no reason. You're never obligated to accept an approach made through the Platform.

12

12. Brand-supplied information isn't verified by us

Brand profiles, briefs and opportunities are supplied by brands. Unless something is specifically labelled as verified by Billy Atlas, we haven't independently checked it. Do your own due diligence before agreeing to work with any brand.

13

13. Testimonials and campaign results

If you upload testimonials, case studies or campaign results — including from past brand partners — they must be true, and you must have permission from anyone quoted or referenced before publishing.

14

14. Content you didn't create

Only upload content you own or have permission to use. Don't upload another creator's work, a brand's copyrighted material, or anything else you don't hold rights to, without that permission. This is covered further in our IP Policy.

15

15. Unpublishing and deleting your profile

  • Unpublishing hides your profile from the public and from new brand searches, but retains your data so you can republish later.
  • Deleting your account removes your profile from public view and stops future processing, subject to what we describe in our Privacy Policy about record-keeping.
  • Profile view history and analytics tied to a deleted account are deleted or de-identified along with the account, other than records we're required to keep by law.
16

16. Founding Creator offer

The Founding Creator offer gives the first 100 eligible creator accounts Creator+ at no cost. Eligibility and terms of that specific offer are set out in the Founding Creator Offer document. If there's a conflict between that document and these Creator Terms on the specific point of eligibility, the Founding Creator Offer document governs.

17

17. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Creator Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Any limitation applies only to the extent the law allows it.
