Who operates Billy Atlas
Billy Atlas is a platform owned and operated by Rugged Lane Industries® (ABN 46 680 178 054). In these terms, 'Billy Atlas', 'we', 'us' and 'our' refer to Rugged Lane Industries® as the operator of the Billy Atlas platform, unless the context requires otherwise.
This page explains, plainly, what Billy Atlas is and is not, so you know exactly what to rely on and what to check yourself before you commit to anything.
Billy Atlas helps a brand find creators and helps a creator get found. We surface a shortlist and explain our reasoning. We do not negotiate, sign, or enforce the partnership that follows — that happens directly between the creator and the brand.
We don't guarantee that a brief will get a response, that a shortlist will lead to a booking, or that any partnership will produce a particular level of revenue, reach, or campaign performance.
Every figure on the platform carries a source label. Understanding what each one means matters:
Look at the label before you rely on a number. A source label tells you where a figure came from and how much independent checking it has had — it is not a guarantee of accuracy beyond that.
Some brand records are built from public sources before the brand claims its account. These carry a confidence level and cited sources. A curated record is informational only — it is not an endorsement of the brand by Billy Atlas, and it does not mean any relationship exists between the brand and Billy Atlas or the creator.
Before you agree to work together, check what matters to you directly with the other party. In practice, that typically means:
If you're a creator
If you're a brand
Any partnership terms — price, deliverables, usage rights, timing, exclusivity — must be agreed directly between the creator and the brand, in writing. Billy Atlas is not a party to that agreement.
Billy Atlas does not process campaign payments and does not hold funds on behalf of either party. If a brand doesn't pay, or a creator doesn't deliver, we cannot recover the money for you.
We aim to keep the platform available, but we don't promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, and unplanned issues can affect availability from time to time.
Connected platforms such as Instagram (Meta Platforms) can change or withdraw the access they give us at any time, without notice to us. That can affect the accuracy or availability of platform-connected figures.
Anything we say about upcoming features, plans, or improvements is a statement of intent, not a commitment. Products change.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law. Any limitation described here applies only to the extent the law allows.
If you believe a figure, profile, or brand record on the platform is inaccurate, you can flag it directly on the platform or report it at /report.

Transparency
Billy Atlas recommends creators to brands. This page explains what goes into that recommendation, what doesn't, and what it does and doesn't mean when you see one.
You should always be able to see why someone was recommended. Every recommendation shown to a brand comes with written reasoning, not just a score or a rank.
Recommendations are produced from structured information, specifically:
We don't seek out or use sensitive information about creators or brand contacts. Protected attributes — such as race, religion, sexual orientation, or disability — are not inputs to any recommendation.
When a creator appears on a brand's shortlist, the brand sees a plain-English explanation drawn from the inputs above — why this creator fits this brief. The explanation reflects the underlying data, so its accuracy depends on that data being current and correct.
A recommendation is a suggestion, not a decision. No automated process closes a partnership, sends money, or permanently removes anyone from consideration. A brand chooses who to contact, and a creator chooses who to work with.
Budget and lead-time thresholds, and similar commercial rules, filter who can appear on a shortlist at all — for example, a creator whose stated rate is well outside a brief's declared budget may not surface, regardless of fit.
A creator's declared brand exclusions and stated availability directly shape what a brand sees. If you exclude a category or mark yourself unavailable, that's respected in what's shown.
Where creators appear in an order, that order reflects fit against a specific brief's stated criteria — not a judgement about who is more talented, more valuable, or more successful.
Two creators with similar audiences can be recommended differently because of details in what they've each declared — availability, exclusions, category fit, or how complete their profile is. Small differences in inputs can produce different reasoning.
Paying for a subscription or plan does not buy a higher recommendation. Recommendations are based on fit to a brief, not on what plan you're on.
Billy Atlas cannot know audience sentiment, brand chemistry, or anything that hasn't been entered as data. Recommendations reflect what's declared and connected — not a full picture of a creator or a brand as people.
If you believe a recommendation was wrong, or a figure behind it is inaccurate, tell us. You can flag it on the platform or report it at /report, and we'll look into it.
Moderation decisions — outcomes from a report — are reviewed by a person, not decided automatically. See our Community Guidelines for how reports are handled.
Recommendations and the reasoning behind them are informational. They are not legal, financial, tax, or advertising-compliance advice, and they don't replace your own judgement or due diligence.
If we materially change what inputs we use or how reasoning is produced, we'll update this page and describe the change in plain language.
